Capri Palace

Located in the heart of Anacapri, Capri Palace is a super lux experience. I couldn’t get enough of the divine pizza served on the terrace restaurant, the vibrant orange sun chairs by the pool, and the Loro Piana covered cushions and couches in the hotel’s Michelin Star restaurant. For weddings and events with more than 100 guests in Capri, Capri Palace is my go-to recommended venue. The multiple event spaces available on the property is a wedding planner’s dream; it is perfect for creating different experiences as guests move along the event journey, constantly surprised and entertained.

Insider Tip: The hotel is able to remove all the sun chairs and furniture around the pool for private events, making it a great spot for cocktail hour.

il Riccio

I am delighted to share my favorite event venue in all of Capri for a true Italian coastal event: il Riccio. This sparkling blue gem of a beach club is part of Capri Palace, and there are shuttles that take guests to and from the hotel to the beach club frequency. If you’re wondering… YES, you can privatize this entire beach club for yourself. I love this venue for a relaxed wedding (you could have the wedding ceremony at the upper level with open skies, then move the reception and after-party to the lower level where the main restaurant is located); the venue is also wonderful for other special events such as birthdays or anniversary parties. Did I mention the food is finger-licking good?

Insider Tip: One of the best things about the venue is that you can party and dance and laugh until 4 in the morning, which most venues along the Amalfi Coast can’t accommodate due to the region’s noise guidelines (most venues require the event to end at midnight). Feel free to have the time of your life, without worrying about the clock.

Caesar Augustus

For a medium-sized wedding and events (up to 70 guests), Hotel Caesar Augustus is my go-to recommended venue in Capri. I love the size of the venue, I love that there are literally 5 terraces you can choose to be the wedding ceremony spot, and I love love love the view. The hotel is easy to get to from the island’s marina, the event team is warm and attentive and the venue is extremely flexible in arrangements (no minimum room nights required, etc.). You really can’t ask for more when it comes to choosing a wedding venue.

Insider Tip: No other location’s views compare to what Caesar Augustus’s infinity terrace can offer in Capri, where one could choose to leverage as either the ceremony spot or the cocktail hour location. My personal recommendation is to save the infinity terrace for the cocktail hour, where both the bride and groom as well as their guests can enjoy the views longer vs. the wedding ceremony.

Paolino Restaurant

I couldn’t share wedding and event venues in Capri without mentioning the famous Paolino restaurant, of course. While I wouldn’t recommend hosting the actual wedding ceremony at the restaurant, Paolino does make a fantastic choice for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The restaurant is within walking distance from the main Marina and is famous for serving fresh local foods underneath blooming lemon trees. I’m always looking for venues that offer unique experiences, that transport guests to a magical place, even just for a second. I definitely found that here.

Insider Tip: The thing you must order as a starter when you visit the restaurant is the Bomba-Paolino (as seen in one of the photos above). It’s a home-made fried pasta ball with ham and mozzarella with tomato sauce and basil on the side. It is pure heaven.

J.K. Place Capri

J.K. Place Capri is one of the only properties in Capri located directly by the glorious water. While you are only steps away from the beach, J.K. Capri also has an expansive pool to enjoy. Designed by Michele Bonan, a Florentine architect and interior designer, the property reminds me of a luxurious standalone villa, chic yet intimate. The use of white and blues compliments the natural surroundings of Capri impeccably. The lounge furniture on the terrace can be removed to create the perfect aisle and ceremony site. Did I mention the entire pool can be covered to host a great after-party? Those of you that have been following me know that I am a big fan of the J.K. group. From Paris, Florence, Capri to Rome, not a detail is overlooked at these properties with true understated elegance. The J.K. Group truly defines the phrase “home away from home” in the best way possible.

Insider Tip: With only 22 rooms available and its extremely high popularity, the only way to have your wedding or event at J.K. Capri is through a full buy-out. The full buy-outs are also only allowed during low season, unless noted otherwise. I recommend couples to try and secure this venue at least 18-months in advance.
